DMC Production, the leading media production company, is excited to announce that we have won a prestigious contract to be the production partner for a major Sports Broadcaster in the Netherlands. We will be providing all aspects of live sports production, and as a result, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Engineer to take charge of the broadcast chain from feed acquisition to playout and publishing.
The position
As the Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of live sports production. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Feed Acquisition and Augmentation: Overseeing the acquisition and enhancement of broadcast feeds to ensure the highest quality output for viewers.
• Playout and Publishing: Managing the playout process and ensuring timely and accurate publishing of live sports content.
• GV Automation and Playout Systems: Leveraging your experience with GV automation and playout systems to optimize production workflows.
• IP Video (SMPTE 2022-6/2110): Utilizing your expertise in IP video to contribute to the advancement of our production capabilities.
• Coordinating and Prioritizing Work: Collaborating with various levels of staff and audiences to coordinate and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Communication and IT Systems: Managing communication and IT systems in the broadcast environment to ensure smooth operations.
• Audio/Video Equipment and Production Systems: Ensuring the proper functioning and integration of audio/video equipment and production systems.
• UNIX / Linux Operating Systems: Demonstrating proficiency in UNIX/Linux operating systems to support technical requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Working effectively as a team member while also being capable of independently carrying out tasks.
• Customer Service Orientation: Having a solid understanding of customer service and viewing systems in terms of service provision.
• Live Broadcast Environment: Appreciating the complexity of a live broadcast environment and adapting to dynamic situations.
• Television Signal Chain: Understanding the television signal chain from the camera lens to the viewer’s screen and speakers at home.
• Technical Specifications: Familiarity with technical specifications, including Sync reference (Analog, Digital, and PTP), SD and HD-SDI, UHD, HDR, WCG, AES, and SMPTE 2022/2110.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Possessing excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Ability to Thrive Under Pressure: A strong desire to work in a pressurized environment, thriving in the fast-paced demands of live broadcasting.
