DMC Production started remote ice hockey productions from new Fredriksberg facilities at Helsinki, Finland. The remote production facilities are serving the TV production requirements of the main sport in Finland – ice hockey. It also brings all DMC Production’s remote productions in Finland into the same premises.
The brand-new ice hockey facilities contain seven PCR’s for standard set-up games (8 cameras) and one PCR for large set-up games and studio productions (up to 21 cameras), ACR, MCR, three edit rooms, five commentary rooms and centralized video referee room. From the remote production center there is fibre connection to 17 ice hockey arenas all over Finland enabling to produce approx. 600 live ice hockey matches of Liiga (Finnish Elite League), CHL and Finnish national ice hockey team (men, women, juniors).
On top of the ice hockey remote production facilities, the new Fredriksberg premises contain four more PCR’s, one more ACR, four standard studios and one main studio to serve e.g. trotting and basketball productions as well as stadium concerts. DMC Production provides over 2300 TV productions annually from Fredriksberg, which makes it the largest remote production center in Finland. In this building, lots of new stories become alive.
As sustainability is an important factor of any industry, the new Fredriksberg facilities are responding to the needs of today and tomorrow. It has been built in accordance with the Excellent rating of the international BREEAM environmental certification. In addition, it is possible to recover the heating energy from central apparatus room and use it to heat the building. DMC Production provides carbon neutral productions to its customers in Finland already today.
