Multi-year deal with TV2 Norway for remote production

Swedish-based sports media and production company DMC in Sports has secured a multi-year deal with Norwegian commercial broadcaster TV2, which will help TV2 realize their strategy vision as the home of Norwegian sport.

DMC will remote produce approximately 600 games per year in a wide range of sports, including football, ice hockey, handball, volleyball, floorball, and basketball. DMC will primarily focus on productions featuring 2-8 onsite cameras and utilizing their expertise in remote productions built upon their state-of-the-art broadcast technology. Efficient productions with a greater focus on sustainability are important aspects of this agreement and DMC has the proven expertise to deliver a modern solution featuring their sustainability production workflows and utilizing centralized production facilities.

“Our approach is built upon innovative, modern, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective production solutions, which is central to our new partnership with TV2. We are eager to build a new flagship studio in Oslo and provide a cutting-edge production environment across a wide spectrum of sports. And as the remote production technology continues to drive an industrial paradigm shift, our partnership with TV2 will streamline their ability to connect Norwegian audiences with the sports they love through their high-quality storytelling and comprehensive sports coverage,” said Daniel Franck, CEO and founder of DMC in Sports.

“TV2 has chosen DMC in Sports as one of our partners for our national sports coverage. DMC will be involved in producing hundreds of multi-cam productions, as well as on behalf of TV2 has committed to establishing a project and managing the technical implementation to introduce VAR capabilities for Eliteserien with the federation in the upcoming rights period,” said Jens C. Knudesn, head of production and partnerships at TV2.
